Collinsville Education Foundation Adds New Trustees
Stacy Landon and Pam Webb
The Collinsville Education Foundation (CEF) is excited to announce two additions to our Board of Trustees: Stacy Landon and Pam Webb. We look forward to working with these two ladies, both of whom have a track record of supporting our school and our community. Welcome aboard, Stacy and Pam!
The Collinsville Education Foundation (which makes academic grants to Collinsville teachers annually) was founded in 1998. The recent board vacancies occurred with the passing of one of the original trustees (W. T. Bill Thomas) and the resignation of Lexee Schubert. Pam Webb said she was working for the school back when the organization was formed and helped with the effort. She is the daughter the late Bill Thomas. Stacy Landon is the wife of another long-time CEF trustee, Joe Landon. The group also awards scholarship to 2 top seniors each May. The group meets monthly and they are already working on their main fundraiser, the annual golf tournament which will be held June 12th in 2017.
Two City Construction Projects Set To Begin
There was a construction kickoff meeting Thursday Feb. 9, 2017 at City Hall for the parking lot north of city hall (60 days starting next week) and for improvments at Ridgelawn Cemetery (100 days starting in March).

Improvements at the cemetery include a new fence, a paved loop around the exterior roadways, and expansion of the cemetery to the south. Plans were discussed to minimize construction interaction with on-going funerals and expecially during the Memorial Day weekend.
