Hodgkins Lymphoma Impacting Collinsville
Fundraiser Monday Feb. 27th For Tatum Andres & Katie Ellis
Just one sick child would be tragic ... but in my almost 14 years of covering Collinsville youth on this web site ... the number of our youth impacted by serious diseases continues to grow well beyond reason. I don't know how many (if any) would be considered "normal" and have no data or expertise to say if our city is suffering more than others. If anyone could shed some light on that I would be interested in sharing.

Fundraisers (Pizzas, Cup Cakes & T-Shirts, etc.) are already planned for CHS Senior Tatus Andres and CHS Freshman Katie Ellis. This week the parent of CHS students (Kim Thetford) announced via Facebook that she has also been diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma.
Tatum Andres started chemo in January.
Katie Ellis had her first chemo treatment last week.
