Rare Solar Eclipse Event Observed In Collinsville
Collinsville students (and folks from coast to coast in the USA) viewed the rare solar eclipse Monday August 21, 2017. With the moon passing between the earth and the sun, a shadow was cast on the earth. Collinsville was in the path with about 90% blockage of the sun by the moon. Many shared special viewing glasses to protect their eyes from damage or viewed in pin-hole boxes or just let tree leaves provide thousands of pin-hole projections of the partial sun.

2016-17 Colinsville High School Yearbooks Now Available
A unique cut-out "C" in the cover of the newest Collinsville High School yearbook is just one of the highlights of an awesome collection of photo memories for the 2016-17 school year. The books are printed over the summer and available for students when they start the next school year. -- Great job by the 2016-17 yearbook staff!

Tulsa Tech Now Inside Collinsville High School

The sign outside still says "Collinsville High School" but there is a new logo on the wall just inside the front entry at the high school. Pre-engineering students are now attending a Tulsa Tech class inside their normal high school building instead of riding a bus to Owasso (and a few years before that a bus to a Tulsa campus). There are still plenty of other CHS students traveling to other Tulsa Tech campuses but there is now a footprint in Collinsville starting with the 2017-18 school year.

New CHS "State" Trophy Case
Thanks to Keith DeLozier's craftmanship there is a new trophy display case in the Collinsville High School commons that is full of the "State-Level" trophies earned by CHS students over the years. There are still many other "Regional" and other level trophies back in the old trophy cases by the old entry to the gym. There are also plenty of other banners, large state champion photos, and graduating class photos that are still awaiting a "public" display area following the major revisions to the high school and main gym in 2014-15.
