| CHS (2016-2017) Softball Seniors: Gail Young, Ravyn Murphy, Ashton Friend, Ashlyn Ivey, Brittany Kickapoo, Rylee DeLozier, Sydnie McCelland, Darci Chester, and Makayla Bowman. | |||||||||

| Makayla Bowman (#22) hit what looked like a double but she ended up in the dirt at first base after colliding with the Pryor first baseman. Bowman was awarded second base on the interference call in the first inning. | |||||||||

| A Sydnie McCelland single brought in two more first inning runs (Megan Scyrkels #7 & Brittany Kickapoo #12) for the 3-0 score. Collinsville protected this 3 run lead with a shut out of Pryor. | |||||||||

| Crowded at first base -- an infielder had caught a fly so the Pryor batter was already out and the runner at first got back in time to avoid being doubled off with Sydnie McCelland (#21) taking the throw. | |||||||||

| After the 3-0 win over Pryor the seniors were honored with the undergrads holding the large photos and goodie bags that each senior received. I have a partial photo of the seniors with their mothers below ... and will have additional individual family photos on their senior pages (much later). These seniors have played softball together for many years and will be greatly missed next year as the experience level will drop after these 4 year starters graduate. -- Ted | |||||||||
