70 years ago my grandfather, C. H. Wright, reveived the letter below from a "war-frazzled" Collinsville veteran. I ask you to consider this still this year (2016) as many things seem to never change. Have fun with fireworks if you must, but be carefull when and where you use them. Also be considerate of animals (especially dogs who are tourtured by fireworks) and of your neighbors' property (i.e. roofs and grass that may be burned). I received a message yesterday from a local resident concerned for their livestock and hay. -- Ted Wright -- 6/24/2016
