To Replace Old Roof
Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Bill John Baker holds a VFW plaque of appreciation for the Nation's $10,000 donation to help replace the roof on the Collinsville VFW building north of town. Sr. Vice-Commander Jerry Kistner made the presentation at a ceremony held Tuesday Feb. 2nd (under that new roof).

The family of Lawrence Hardacre, Sr. (a WWII veteran and member of the Collinsville VFW post) made a $4,000 donation in his memory to help with the roof replacement.
VFW Commander Kevin Lutz supplied this recent photo showing the roof replacement in progress. The roofing company took $500 off their price as a donation and Herb Weaver with State Farm Insurance also contributed $500 to the roof.
