| We are excited to
announce the winner of the Midwest
Best Athlete Award for the month of Sept 2015: MAKAYLA BOWMAN. Makayla Bowman is in the class of 2017. This is her 3rd season as the varsity shortstop for Collinsville High School. Her batting average is .478, with 22 hits, and 9 home runs (as of September 17th). Makayla is also a varsitybasketball point guard for Collinsville High School, a member of student council, takes honors student carrying a GPA of 3.7. Currently Makayla has scholarship offers from multiple University's. She is excited about her opportunities and cannot wait to attend college after high school. Makayla loves playing with her school team as well as her Oklahoma Eagles summer traveling team, helping young softball players develop their skills, and volunteering at youth baseball camps with her dad. Makayla has a large family of 4 brothers and 1 sister. She loves fishing, hunting, and going to church on Sunday’s with her family and friends.
