Heavy Load Passing Through
This 754,000 pound heat exchanger (being moved from Locust Grove to the Port of Catoosa) got stuck in Collinsville this morning trying to enter the southbound entrance ramp to Highway 169 from 146th St. North. I first heard about it about 11:30am and they were backing it up by the time I got there. I didn't stay to see if they tried again or looked for a different path. -- Ted 12:30pm Friday Oct. 9, 2015
Chili Pepper Cross Country Meet
Ted,
Just wanted to let you know the boy's cross country team competed against more than 800 other runners in the Chili Pepper Festival this past weekend in Fayetteville Arkansas. Zac Sellers took home a 15th place finish in the Varsity Boy's Open race. Very proud of how our team competed on a national level.

Jr. High Update -- 10-2-15
The Collinsville Cardinals Jr. High Football teams flew into Pryor-Creek Stadium Thursday Night for a Metro Lakes Conference showdown. The rather large Pryor Tigers gave the Cardinals all we wanted in each contest. Each game demonstrated the tenacity of the Cardinals offense and defense to knock the stripes off of the Tigers. The modified pistol offense of the Tigers was difficult to stop in each game, but the swarming defense of the Cardinals proved that we were the better team in each game. The Pryor Tigers middle school band didn’t make things any easier. They played songs and did cheers all night long adding to the enthusiasm of the Tigers. No injuries were reported.

7th grade win a tough one 22-0.
8th grade win a close one 20-14.
9th grade win big 19-8.

I would like to thank the parents for the drinks and snacks after the games. The snacks were just enough to get us home. The Moms and Dads do so much for our program. Without you it would be very difficult to make things more enjoyable for our kids.
Also on a personal note, a good friend of mine, Robert Newton, whom I coached with years ago at Owasso High school, attended our games last night. It was a real surprise to see Coach Newton. Robert is now retired and sells real estate in the Owasso area.
Next Thursday the Cardinals travel to Glenpool for another Metro Lakes Conference match-up. The Warriors are the newest addition to the conference. Glenpool has a new state of the art football facility just off Highway 75 and Hwy 67. Hope to see you there.

Cardinal Football -- (Glenpool)
Jr. High Update -- 10-9-2015
The Collinsville Cardinals Jr. High football teams traveled to Glenpool Thursday night to play the newest member of the Metro Lakes Conference. Glenpool will be a new member to class 5A football next year. The Warriors have an excellent football program from top to bottom, their players play with class and their coach’s coach with class. All three games of the night were full of big hits and just plain smash-mouth football.

7th grade Cardinals win 24-6
8th grade Cardinals win 36-22
9th grade Cardinals win 28-8

Next week is fall break. The Cardinals will practice Monday and Tuesday. There will be no Jr. High practice or Jr. High games during the break. On the Monday after fall break, October 19, we will start practice at 7:30am for 7th and 8th grade players. There just is not enough daylight.

Our next action will be October 20th. We will travel to Tahlequah. Games begin at 5pm. Games are played at the High School practice field. The Tigers are a much improved program. They have hired a new Sports Enhancement Director to train and condition their athletes.

Hope to see you there with your positive support. We have so much to be thankful for.
