Heavy Rains and High Winds Here Wednesday Evening
A cold front rolled through Collinsville late Wednesday afternoon bringing rain, lightning and strong winds for several hours. The photo above was taken about 6pm during a heavy downpour. The same storm front caused a tornado fatality at a Sand Springs mobile home park March 25, 2015 along with wind damage and power outages in several other Oklahoma communities.
Accident At "S-Curve" Former Location
I happened by what appeared to be a two pickup accident Wednesday afternoon (before 4pm) at a site that was the frequent site of motor vehicle accidents before the intersection was overhauled a few years back. I don't know any details (or if there were injuries) and can't explain the great distance between the only two obvious involved vehicles. The traffic in the middle of the photo is waiting to get through the area as Collinsville fire department personnel work the scene near 19th and Main Street. -- Ted Wright -- 3/25/2015
