Cherokee Language Competition
The Collinsville Gi-ga-ge (Red) team placed 2nd in the Division 2 Cherokee Language Competition. Team Sponsor is Tonya Vaughn and team members are Ainsley Burr, Hannah Phillips, Taylor Rhoton, Allie Bracket, and Ashton Watkins. Congrats to all of you!

Collinsville Sagonigei (Blue) team placed 3rd at the recent Cherokee Language Bowl. Team sponsor is Nancy Thomas and team members are Kolby Barrett, Leah Rule, Julueann Nichol, Savannah Hutchens, Cable Golden. Congrats to the team! Good job!
Mattress Sale Fundraiser For CHS Academic Team And FCCLA
It was a unique sight Saturday with the new gym at the high school full of mattresses ... with any purchases made providing support to the Academic Team and FCCLA.
Several sets of CHS students were dressed as "mattresses" during the Downtown Christmas Parade Saturday trying to drum up business for their fundraiser at the high school.

Brianna Smalyago won 1st place in the Patriot's Pen essay contest at the local VFW this week. Our family was honored to be invited to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with the Veterans today.
