This is a simplified overview of the new planned traffic flow for ECC, Herald and Upper Elementary student dropoff / pickup. Instead of pulling directly into the ECC parling lot, ECC parents will drive west past the school and follow the turn circle (#1) to enter the lot coming from the west and dropoff/pickup at (#2) on the east side of ECC as in prior years. Herald dropoff/pickup moves to the back of the building and shares multiple lanes with Upper Elementary traffic. Both Herald & CUE parents enter at the same location east of Herald. The outside lane will be the dropoff/pickup lanes with Herald at (#3) and Upper Elementary at (#4). The inside lane will be used to bypass the dropoff/pickup to get to the next school or exit. The multi-lanes have painted arrows for direction of flow and there will be additional signs posted. Please be patient as folks adjust to the new flow and check back for potential updates. -- Ted Wright 8/4/2015 |
The middle school crossing guard will be back at 14th Street as in the past (not at 15th Street where he moved last year because of the construction at the First Baptist Church). -- Dale Harp 8/6/2015 |
