Herald McTeacher Awards
Followup To Oct. 7th McTeacher Night At McDonalds
Check / Pies / Soccer Balls
This young Herald Elementary student was one of many that got to put a pie into the face of Principal Arlin Stacy Tuesday as the top "McTeacher" fund raisers in each class was given the opportunity.
Herald Elementary was the big winner receiving a check for $3284.15 (presented by Beverly and Harry Lossing on behalf of McDonalds to Principal Arlin Stacy) but each member of Mrs. Weygand's 4th grade class received a brand new soccer ball. Three of the top fundraiser students and 1 teacher each received gifts also. The check represents 20% of sales during the Highway 20 McDonalds event on Oct. 7th and 100% of pie sales.
The pie tossing followed some choreographed Halloween entertainment by Mrs. Carl's 5th graders.
These two students must have tied for their class honor as they shared a pie into Mr. Stacy's face in front of their P.J. clad classmates on this Red Ribbon Day.
Before handing off the pies to their lucky students, I'm guessing Herald teachers Mrs. Bristol and Keim were discussing something along the line of who they would like to pie in the face? -- Ted
