5A State Cross Country Meet
Each Collinsville Girl Ran A Personal Best Time For the 8th Place 5A Team At State

Seven Collinsville Cross Country runners (in light blue) lined up for a chilly start to the 5A Girls XC State Meet at Edmond Santa Fe HS Saturday Nov. 1st ... with most of the state having their first freeze of the season that same Saturday morning.
Collinsville junior Ellen Thomas was the only top 10 finisher for the Lady Cards with a 7th place time of 20:27.7 in this first year for the girls at the 5K distance (an extra mile more than previous years). Thomas improved 2 spots over her 9th place finish in 2013.
Summer Taylor finished 28th at 21:32.6
Mallory Burd finished 33rd at 21:38.7
Taylor Lawley finished 78th at 23:07.5
Lauren Wilson finished 97th at 24:14.7
Joelle Nelson finished 103rd at 24:42.7
Emma Alexander finished 105th at 25:28.4

Zach Sellers was the lone boys runner for Collinsville at State Saturday.
He was joined in the walk through (above) by L-R: Erik Tollefson, Zach Sellers, Morgan Cooper, and James Stellfox.
Zachary Sellers finished 75th for the 5A boys at 18:28.5
Carrington Buoy was unable to run at state due to an injury.
Ellen Thomas (3rd from left) was the only Collinsville runner on the awards stand Saturday with her 7th place finish. The fastest girls finisher (Stilwell's Sydney Lawrence) shook the hand of the other top 10 girls (each earning All-State honors).
The CHS Cross Country Girls finished as the 8th place team at 5A State today with Ellen Thomas finishing 7th individually. Each girl had a personal best time today. --Check back for photos and additional details. -- Ted 3pm Sat. 11/1/2014

Edmond Deer Creek was the first place team and Tahlequah second place in both the boys and girls competition (same as last year). The Tahlequah girls were the academic state champs with a remarkable 3.977 team GPA. -- Ted
