City Manager Polk discussed the following sample topics:

* S-Curve / streetscape sidewalks (1 block unfinished for end-to-end sidewalks on Main) ... Baptist Church block

Stan Sallee who provides economic development services to the city also spoke to the Chamber Thursday:
* Building up rooftop counts (housing/population) is critical to most retailers to consider locating in Collinsville
-- for example Braums wants at least 10,000 population
* Collinsville is currently leading Tulsa County in housing starts (permits) including larget communities
* Dollar General expansion (first commercial west of 19th St.)
* Expect announcements soon for additional (undisclosed) developments here
* Discussing potential industrial park
* Positive improvements (city & school) continue making city more attractive to potential commercial / retail investors

Two of Collinsville's 2014 Individual State Wrestling Champions were quests at the March Chamber meeting: Christian Moody (left) and Will Steltzlen (right). The 3rd 2014 champion (Gary Wayne Harding) was a guest back in October 2013.

Just a few of the newer businesses in Downtown Collinsville
The low water bridge on south 11th has been upgraded. The 3 bridges above are still being discussed.
Potential improvements at the (now city owned) American Legion Building include a Veterans War Memorial on the grounds.
Since I have not had a sales tax report for the city in a few years wanted to include this chart which shows a continued increase in city sales tax revenue. -- Ted
