Students In Traffic & Construction
Stop for Wilson Elementary kids crossing 19th Street ... just about any time of day for exercise at Sallee Field..
Please stop for occupied crosswalks everywhere ... but especially 4-lane Highway 20 (Main at 15th) as middle school students cross. CMS teacher Doug Saltsman helps them during the peak before and after school times, but students and adults need to cross Main Street at any time any day.
To keep these high school students away from construction traffic a temporary road is being built just west of this scene that will create another flow of traffic on/off of Highway 20 near the busy cemetery/Dollar General intersection & high school exit.
Check the School Web Site for a few other views of the upper elementary construction progress.

New drop off / pick up loops are part of the construction at the new upper elementary that should improve traffic flow (and relieve existing congestion on 129th St.) but that is still almost year from completion. In the mean time watch for construction traffic off the temporary road just south of Herald Elementary.

Collinsville Varsity Softball 4-2 Win Over Pryor Here Thursday Aug. 28th
I was only at the CHS Softball game -vs- Pryor here for an inning and a half but saw plenty of action with the score tied 2-2 when Darci Chester tagged out a Pryor runner with a Sydnie McCleland throw from right. -- Ted 8/28/2014
Collinsville Hosted Claremore For Volleyball Here Thursday Aug. 28th
I just made token stops at CHS volleyball and softball Thursday as the CHS football scrimmage was my main photo objective.

Diana Kolosha is in the JV photo (left) and the 8th grade is playing Claremore in the bottom photo. I have no results for any of the 7th-8th-9th-JV-Varsity games. -- Ted
