JrHi Cardinal Football Update
(At Coweta Oct. 3rd)
10-4-13

The Collinsville Cardinals Jr. High football teams traveled to Coweta Thursday for a Metro Lakes Conference showdown. Without a doubt, the Cardinals proved they are title contenders for the 5A conference. In all three games, the Cardinals dominated the offensive and defensive line of scrimmage. This allowed the Collinsville backs and receivers to display their outstanding skills. The kicking game proved to be a difference maker in all three games. This was especially evident by the impromptu fake punt in the ninth grade game! The cheerleaders and numerous fans were fantastic motivators. No major injuries were reported.
We do have an injury report from last week. Blake Burd continues to be sidelined due to a concussion received 2 weeks ago. Also, tailback Justin Prather suffered an ankle injury during practice last week and did not play. Finally, freshman quarterback Seth Boomer will be sidelined for some time due to a knee injury.

7th grade game, Cardinals win 22-0!
8th grade game, Cardinals lose a close one 20-15.
9th grade game, Cardinals win big 24-6!

Our next action will be next Thursday at Pryor. The Metro Lakes Conference battle begins at 5pm.

Tuesday, October 8th will be our school bond election. Please take a moment to watch our video presentation on our school web site www.collinsville.k12.ok.us. Click on the bond issue link. Please help make a difference for our future.
Also, don’t forget we a have a “B” game with Bartlesville next week. The time is set for 6pm at Sallee Field.
