Ted Note: Just attempting a half-marathon would be a big accomplishment for most of us. But add the freezing temperatures Sunday and for Carrington (a Collinsville 8th grader) a broken nose and stitches just a week before from a non-school cheerleading accident and it becomes even more remarkable! Carrington was sitting out the 8th grade girls basketball game here last night (Nov. 25th) but still cheering on all the teams (while avoiding cheer stunts) as her face continues to heal.
Middle School Canned Food Drive

CMS recently held a canned food drive which was very successful. There was a total of $489 and a plethora of canned food donated by students. The donations will benefit Faith Assembly Church of Christ and the Community food bank.

The student body held two contest. The first was to see who could get the most donatations. The winners were: 1st place office/library/room 15/room 71, 2nd place McNeal and 3rd place Schulz. The winners were treated to breakfast and a chance to throw a cool whip pie at Mr. Harp.

The second contest was to create a display from the donated cans. 1st place was Mrs. Hass, 2nd place Mrs.Collins and third place Mrs. McNeal. I have attached photos of all the contest winnners.

Thanks,
