Existing Park Features In Use
The splash pad water was turned on May 24th, 2013 (the day after students finished school) and is expected to be a popular place for kids again in it's 4th summer. The splash pad opened for the first time in July 2010.
New Park Features Under Construction
Construction began in Mid-May 2013 for a new picnic shelter which is just east of the splash pad in City Park.
A second new picnic shelter is being built just east of the swing set and play equipment (also near the splash pad).
Additional trail (8 foot wide concrete path) will connect the west side of the park to the existing trail that was completed in January 2013 on the east side of the park.
The new portion of the trail takes a winding path from the tennis courts to the splash pad.
10 new paved parking spots will be added near the basketball court.
A new section of sidewalk has already been added on the east side of the play area (play equipment & swings) to help connect the new trail to the splash pad area.
