Mobile Home Destroyed By Fire Monday
I have no information on a mobile home that appears to have been totally destroyed by fire Monday afternoon July 29, 2013. I happened by about 6:30pm as multiple fire crews were already rolling up hoses and preparing to clear the scene. The mobile home is behind the homes south of Broadway near the entrance to the High School (and only partially visible from Highway 20). -- Ted Wright -- I could have used a news tip on this one! ... email: wrightted@aol.com or call my cell: 918-798-1804 if you see or hear of local news.
New Sallee Field Ticket Booth Progressing
Kyle Smalygo (Properties) is donating the material and labor for a ticket booth at the north entrance to Sallee Field. An apparently re-cycled small building has been sitting near the gate for months but was finally lifted into place on the waiting foundation and partial wall Friday, July 26th.

Assistant Superintendent Lance West commented that the school is "very apprecative" of this donation to improve school facilities. Looks like a door relocation and I'm guessing a brick exterior (to match the east booth) are still in the works.

I don't have all the names but recognized Joe Keith (CHS 2011) and his little brother (Jack) and Dad (Trey) assisting Friday.
