CHS Baseball Diamond Dinner (Feb. 2nd)

The Diamond Dinner is just around the corner. The Collinsville Home Run Club would like to invite our community and upcoming Collinsville Cardinals to help kick off our 2013 baseball season. This is a fun night of baseball talk, dinner and guest speakers. We also have a silent auction.

The 2013 season opens Friday, March 1st at home vs Skiatook, game time is 4:00. The Cardinals play at OneOk Field Thursday, April 4th vs Pryor at 7:30.

Could you help us spread the word?

Thanks,

Laurie Sherwood

Subject: FW: 32 UNMATCHED January Students Remaining

Hello Paula Bearden,

I am reaching out to your school because I believe you are one of our few schools in this area that will accept a January student from our organization. These are half year students who face cancellation from the program unless our organization can find a family and a school for them somewhere in the United States. I have attached individual information about each of these students. I am making you aware of our need in case you might know any family in your school district that would be interested in hosting a student for the second semester of this school year. Unscreened families may view their information sheet without a picture but school administrators and screened families can see information sheets with the student pictures.

Thank You,

Rose O'Brien

STATE TROOPERS MEET THEIR GOAL TWO YEARS IN A ROW
*****For Immediate Release*****

(Tulsa, OK.)
Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol launched their special holiday enforcement operation in Tulsa County at 7:00 PM on New Year's Eve & worked until 3:00 AM New Year's Day. For the second year in a row, there were ZERO collisions reported in Tulsa Metro by OHP during the time of the crackdown (8 hours).

15 State Troopers assigned to this special emphasis hit the Highways to aggressively enforce traffic laws. They recorded the following:

48- Speeding citations
14- Driving under suspension citations
139- Traffic offense warnings
9- Jailed for DUI
4- Jailed for drug offenses

"This is the outcome we were hoping for this year. Many people were made safe by outstanding efforts of men & women working for the patrol & partners in law enforcement. From the dispatchers behind the scenes, to the motorists calling in suspected drunken drivers & the Troopers working the roads. This was a combined operation & everyone worked hard to ensure that at the end of the night, citizens went home safely to be with family & loved ones " stated OHP spokesman LT George Brown.
