Freshman
Brandon Lowe calmly sank several key free throws in overtime to help seal the
Cardinal Boys victory over Skiatook here Tuesday. That's point number 62 in
the bottom of the basket (with 25.6 seconds left) with Coach Todd Anderson giving
it some body English from the sideline. The Collinsville boys trailed almost
the entire regulation game until gaining a 1-point lead in the final seconds
before Skiatook tied it up at 56-56 making only 1 of their final 4 free throws
in regulation.
Sophomore
Madie Vaughn sank this free throw to break a 39-39 tie with 24.9 seconds left
in the girls game with Coach Kelly Clarke watching. The Lady Cards let a 25-15
half-time lead and a 34-28 3rd quarter lead slip away as they scored only 6
points in the final quarter.
Nate
Johnson was at the line with the Collinsville Boys down by 11 (at 37-48) and
4:44 remaining in regulation.
Shawn
Koscheski appeared to tie the boys game at 31-31 in the 3rd quarer but the official
from the far end of the court called a foul (that I didn't see) and erased the
3-point shot damping the Cardinal momentum temporarily. Collinsville had been
down by 9 at half-time (19-28).
Kanyon
Cole scoring one of several clutch baskets in the 4th quarter comeback for the
Cardinals. He finished the game with 21 points.
Kourtney
Lincicome (Skiatook #21 above) and Austin Lawless (Skiatook #24 below) are former
Cardinals turned Bulldog.
The
Cardinal student section looked relaxed during this break in the action but
spent most of the evening cheering and yelling on two victories over rival Skiatook.
