The flyer (below) was a handout at the Chamber meet and was prepared under a Homeland Security grant.
I missed the first portion of Chief Richey's presentation but did hear the following topics discussed (after my arrival). -- Ted
* credit card monitoring
* check your credit reports
* burglery / auto theft up
* some auto thefts had keys left in (almost all unlocked)
* Rash of storage building burgleries solved
* copper thefts up (city has had recent losses) ... county/statewide problem
* "Safe Routes to School" still not funded (for flashing light for Main / Broadway MS crossing and 129th for Herald/ECC)
* kids loitering downtown (will try to stay ahead of problems this year)
* Longboards legal in street (but dangerous). Skateboards illegal on downtown sidewalks.
* Chief in office 7-4 (open door policy)
