Brinkley Selected as Majority Whip |

OKLAHOMA CITY Sen. Rick Brinkley has been chosen by his colleagues in the Senate Republican caucus to serve as Majority Whip. Brinkley will coordinate with caucus members to advance measures through the legislative process. Oklahomans have entrusted Republicans with a historic majority in the state Senate, and we look forward to working on a variety of issues and initiatives to put us on a path to greater prosperity, said Brinkley, R-Owasso. I am honored to assume this responsibility and I look forward to working with each of our members to address the challenges and opportunities ahead. Brinkley was elected to the state Senate by the citizens of District 34 in 2010. He serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Finance Committee. From 1999-2011, he served as President/CEO of the Better Business Bureau serving Eastern Oklahoma, and is currently the organizations Chief Operating Officer. We have an opportunity this year to build on important legislative successes and improve the lives of Oklahomans" Brinkley said. EXPLORE and PLAN Parent night!! |
December
6th at 6:00 PM will be an EXPLORE testing meeting for parents of 8th graders
to understand what the test does for their students. December 6th at 7:00 PM will be a PLAN testing meeting for parents of 10th graders. This meeting will explain what the PLAN test measures, and how their students can use the information provided by the results. These meetings will be in the High School Commons. The guest speaker will be Lisa Nelson from the Oklahoma Board of Regents for Higher Education. ALSO: December 7th at 7:30 AM is a faculty meeting explaining how the PLAN test can be used by ALL educators. It will be put on by Lisa Nelson, a representative from the Oklahoma Board of Regents for Higher Education...this meeting will also be held in the high school commons. |
