***For Immediate Release*** (May 1, 2012)

State Troopers announce their intent to conduct DUI check points in Tulsa County.

"We are focusing efforts for DUI prevention, specifically designed to deter
alcohol related collisions during High school graduation times", stated
Captain Jerry Reagan, Troop B Commander.

Troop B covers Tulsa, Creek, Okmulgee and Rogers Counties. For the year to
date 2011, there were nine fatalities reported within Troop B. Troopers
have reported 10 fatalities year to date 2012.

A date of May 24th, 2012 has been set for the first of several summer DUI
check points to be held in the Troop B area. This operation will be in an
area that is frequented by DUI drivers.

US 75 Highway southbound at the Seventh Street exit will be the sight for
the initial DUI check point. Time of the event will be 7:00 PM until 3:00
AM. This will provide for coverage near down town, B.A. Expressway,
I-244/I-444 exchange and inner dispersal loop. These are high frequency
areas where DUI drivers typically operate.

In accordance with state law, all local media sources will be notified at
least three days in advance of the operation and signs will be erected to
warn motorists during the time of the check point.
