Community Church to put a new twist on VBS!
All children entering grades 1st - 6th are invited to attend the Collinsville Community Churchs' new twist on Vacation Bible School! Please join us Monday - Friday, June 25th - June 29th from 6:30p.m. - 8:30p.m. at 1400 West Oak in Collinsville. Josephs Path from Prison to Palace isnt your traditional Vacation Bible School. This year the Community Church will be putting a little 2012 spin on things. Children will be singing Christian songs, enjoying snacks and learning Bible Truths. Not only will they be learning Bible Truths but they will also get the opportunity to apply these truths as they create and hand out blankets and gift bags to those in need in our area. Because we live in a different era, life skills and the safety of our children are very important so we are proud to be giving Vacation Bible School a new twist this year by incorporating life skills classes into the traditional VBS. Lori Fullbright from KOTV Channel 6 will be with us on Wednesday evening, June 27th. She will be speaking to the children about self defense, social media protection and bullying. Carolyn Estes, a former Rogers County Deputy, will be with us on Thursday evening, June 28th to remind children on how to stay safe, how to protect themselves and stranger danger. Ms. Estes will be using a mat and showing protection techniques and defensive movements. You don't want your children to miss out on this fun and informative week! Please contact the Church Office at 918-371-2622 by Wednesday, June 20, 2012 to register your child. The Church van will run within the Collinsville city limits beginning Tuesday, June 26th. For further information or questions please contact VBS Director; Mike Branen at 918-629-0632. |
