CHS Summer Band (Director's Letter)
Dear Collinsville Crimson Cadets,

Summer is gone, and its time to get our fall show started!!! Hopefully you got a chance to go on vacation somewhere, visit some family, and enjoy your time off. We look forward to seeing everyone again!!!
Please remember to get acclimated to the outside. Go out for an hour or two a day, and put sunscreen on. Stay hydrated!!! Water is your new best friend. Show up to each rehearsal with water already in your system. We cannot stress this enough.
Your section leaders have prepared all of your music for you, and are eager to help you on your marching and music. Your directors are ready to get back to work…except Mr. Still. Micaela Rush, your Drum Major, is excited about leading you to a successful year.
Drink water before every rehearsal. Drink water before every rehearsal. Come to practice already hydrated. When you get to practice, make sure you have already drunk some water. Water is a wonderful thing. The boosters have made cold packs for everyone to wear during rehearsal. Drink H20. Staying hydrated will improve the band. Drink water before each and every practice. Keeping water in your system is a great idea.
Wear light colored clothing, and shorts. Bring sunglasses, and sunscreen, and something for lunch. Do not wear cowboy boots, flip flops, or sandals while marching outside. This is our dress code for your safety. Below is a schedule for summer band. These rehearsals are mandatory.

We look forward to putting on our show “Pompeii”. Thank a booster when you see them. They help in ways you can’t even imagine. Have your parents join the boosters, and have fun with a great group of supportive adults!!!
Drink water before you come to each rehearsal.
Thanks, and enjoy the year!!!
