Middle School Academic Teams |
Here are some activities
that our CMS Academic Teams have been/will be involved in during the next
couple of months: Jan 14 - the 8/9th grade team competed in NAQT competition in Fort Smith, AR. They had a 3-3 record against schools from Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. We missed being in the playoffs by only one game. I was extremely proud of the way the team competed, this was our first experience against our neighboring states! Jan 21 - the 7/8th and 8/9th teams will compete in OJABA District competition, to be held at the middle school from 10-12:30. We will be competing against Pryor, Miami and Owasso teams. Feb 18 - the 7/8th team will compete in Miami, OK for our OJABA Regionals competition. Feb 25th - the 8/9th team will compete in Edmond, OK for our OJABA Regionals competition. I will forward you some pictures and results from these competitions as they become available! Michelle Cross Collinsville Middle School (Jan. 18, 2012) |

I was last inside the Ostrander building (at 1011 W. Main) for the HHH Womanless Beauty Contest back in September which showed some of the building's potential. And I did peek in the window (above) back in November 2011 during the remodeling. I can hardly wait to see the completed project. -- Ted 1/18/2012 |
