Patchworkers December Meet
The Patchworkers met at the Collinsville Library Dec. 5, for their regular meeting, and a festive Christmas party. The Newborns In Need committee reported that the Patchworkers comprise about one-third of all donations to the NE OK Chapter, which is a huge contribution. The Library Gift Basket chairman stated that the annual Silent Auction fundraiser had been very successful once again.

Blocks of red, white, and blue were given to Dana Allenbaugh for the month's block exchange, and for January's exchange, Mary Wood chose dark and light lavenders on white. The January 5" block trade will be white with blues.

Members enjoyed a delicious pot luck dinner, and a fun Santa gift exchange. The next meeting will be January 8, followed by the Sew-In on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, and both are open to the public.

Graffiti "Cash Mobbed" By Shoppers
Collinsville Downtown, Inc. held their first "Cash Mob" event Thursday Dec. 13th, 2012. Several shoppers had signed up at the CDI office and when Graffiti Salon & Gifts Shop was drawn from the merchant list they walked down the street to provide a cash boost to that selected merchant's business that day. Future "Cash Mobs" will likely be called. Contact the Collinsville Main Street organization at their 1125 W. Main office for additional nformation.

Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.
