Collinsville Cardinal Homerun Club
Sponsor Letter

August 19, 2012

The Collinsville Cardinal Homerun Club will be hosting our annual golf tournament October 6th. With your help, we can provide the Collinsville High School baseball program with some of their financial needs. We are in need of Hole Sponsors for our tournament. Hole Sponsor signs will be placed on the tee boxes throughout the golf course.

Our fundraising efforts for the last 2 years have been our players picking up trash after Youth and High School football games, Homerun Club memberships, up from the 5 memberships for the 2010/2011 baseball season and the golf tournament.

Our Junior Varsity players have always worn hand-me-down uniforms. Last year, the Homerun Club purchased new uniforms for the Junior Varsity players. We are now able to play our National Anthem before games with the purchase of a laptop for the Press Box. Also, we provided Coach Reeder with financial needs used for cement work and field maintenance items.
Our goal is to have a positive impact on our youth and to help further develop our baseball program for the Community.

Thank you for your consideration in supporting this deserving group of baseball players and coaches!

JR HIGH FOOTBALL Report

8-24-12

The Collinsville Cardinals 7th, 8th and 9th grade teams plucked the feathers of the Claremore Sequoyah Eagles Thursday night in a controlled scrimmage. All three teams showed signs that this could be a very good year, if we continue to show improvement. The kicking game still has to be completely installed. The coaches were upbeat about the offense and defenses efforts. The coaches had an opportunity to evaluate all the players. We have forty seventh grade players, forty-three 8th grade players and thirty-nine 9th grade players. No injuries were reported.

This week the Cardinals will open up at Sallee field with 6A opponent, the Bartlesville Bruins. The 7th grade will begin action at 5pm, Thursday, with the 8th grade kick-off at 6pm and the 9th grade to follow.

The 7th and 8th grade will report to the dressing room at 3:30 after school on Thursday. The 9th grade will report at 4:30. We will bus the players to Sallee Field.

Players are released to their parents after each game. The 7th and 8th grade players will not be bused back to the dressing room after the game. The 9th grade will be bused back to the field house at the conclusion of their game.

On Fridays, practice begins at 7:45am.

Players have been issued 5 gold cards. These discount card cost $15.00. Checks should be made out to CHS. The profits from the sale of these cards go towards football supplies. We appreciate every player participating in the selling of these cards.

If 5 cards are sold, the player will receive one free card.

If you have any questions please get in touch.
