Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

Home Representative Club News
The Collinsville Home Representative Club held their first meeting of the 2011-2012 club year on Sept. 6 at the Community Church. Fifteen members were in attendance, as new yearbooks were distributed, devotions were given, and Calls were read for the upcoming NE OK District Convention, October 1 in Pryor, and the South Central Region Convention, which is being held in Oklahoma City October 21-23.

HRC members are collecting office and personal supplies for our soldiers, and dropping them off at the C'ville Pharmacy for later delivery to the Pryor convention.

HOBY winner Allyson Nall shared details of her weekend in Anadarko, OK last Spring, as she attended the Hugh O'Brian Youth Seminar for high school Sophomores. Her mother Krista Nall looks on, as Allyson explained several of the group exercises the attendees participated in, as they learned about leadership, community sharing, and our government.
House Building Ministry
The Collinsville Family Pharmacy is involved in a Christian ministry service project on Sat. Oct 1 in Owasso and we would love for you to cover it for your news venue. For over 14 years Tharyn and I have been involved with an organization called Missions Ministries, whose main service has been to serve the poor in Juarez Mexico by building homes for those who live in shacks.

Recently this organization has added a ministry that happens here in the states, but still provides the homes needed in Mexico. Missions Ministries, along with 4 local churches and our pharmacy, are going to pre-fab 5 homes on an empty lot in Owasso on Sat. Oct 1. Each house building team will consist of 20-30 volunteers, skilled and unskilled, who will erect the shell of a small home, just like the ones built by teams in Juarez, and paint it. The house will then be dismantled, loaded onto a semi trailer and taken to Juarez for re-assembly by Mexican workers.

It's going to be an exciting, busy place and we hope will attract alot of attention by passers by, as well as family and friends of those involved.

I can tell you more if you're interested.

Are you requesting Collinsville volunteers? --
At this point we're not needing any volunteers, just interested observers, who might become enthused enough to be involved if & when we do it again.
Check back for location -- Ted 9/12/2011: Empty lot near Owasso Post office across from Bank of Owasso ... starts at 9am.
