Queen Taylor Captain was crowned by King Daniel Billups during the pre-game Homecoming Coronation.
Collinsville was already down 0-14 and McAlester had moved into Collinsville terriory again with this first quarter pass play before Shane Goossen (#21) knocked the ball loose and Derek Iannapollo (#10) scooped it up for the Cardinals at the 35 yard line.
Dylan Dyer (#83) tipped this McAlester pass just enough to prevent a completion in the endzone on the last play of the 1st quarter. McAlester settled for a field goal and a 0-17 score a few plays into the 2nd quarter.
Keenan Priddy (#40) picked up good yardage up the middle on this 2nd quarter run.
Derek Iannapollo (#10) capped off an 80 yard Cardinal drive on a 5 yard keeper with 5:56 left in the 2nd quarter. Oliver Nelson kicked the extra point for a 7-23 score.
Dylan Cook (#18) was unable to prevent this 22 yard McAlester TD pass at 5:08 in the second quarter. The score went to 7-31.
Derek Iannapollo (#10) got a shove out of bounds and the penalty moved the ball to McAlester's 34 late in the 2nd quarter.
Collinsville had driven down to McAlester's 6 yard line but this 4th down pass was tipped away from TJ Johnson (#6) in the endzone with McAlester taking over on downs 30 seconds before halftime.
Shane Goossen (#21) stopped a McAlester threat with this interception on the last play of the first half.
