Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

Prairie Winds Flute Ensemble (May 19th)

Prairie Winds Flute Ensemble (from left):
Hazel Rowena Mills, Tracy Henry Crow, Patty Mandrell, Amber Raymon Merchant, Sarah Breese McCoy, Holly Breese Cinocca, and Tammy Kirk. Sadly, the Pan statue in the center of the photo was reported stolen recently from Woodward Park in Tulsa.

Prairie Winds Flute Ensemble will present “American Scenes” in the Music at the Mansion Series at 1:30 p.m. May 19 at the Travis Mansion, 2445 South Peoria Avenue, Tulsa. The program will include traditional American songs, hymn tunes, ragtime, and Broadway themes played on four sizes of flutes. This free public performance, sponsored by Hyechka Tulsa and Tulsa Historical Society, offers a rare opportunity to hear a flute choir. The performance is dedicated to the memory of Tulsa flutist Debbi Turner.

Members of the ensemble are Hazel Rowena Mills, Sarah Breese McCoy, Holly Breese Cinocca, and Tracy Henry Crow, all of Owasso; Amber Raymon Merchant of Skiatook; and Patty Mandrell and Tammy Kirk of Tulsa. Mills, McCoy, Cinocca, and Merchant graduated from Owasso High School, and Crow graduated from Collinsville High School.

Turner and Mills formed Prairie Winds Flute Ensemble (formerly called the Hyechka Flutes) in the early 1990s. In addition to performing at least once a year on musicales of Hyechka Club of Tulsa, Prairie Winds has played as a guest ensemble at the Amadeus Festival at the University of Tulsa, at a Northeast Oklahoma Active Timers (NEATS) concert, and at luncheons.

The Travis Mansion, which is the headquarters of Tulsa Historical Society, is immediately south of Tulsa Garden Center and shares its driveway. For more information about the May 19 performance, call the historical society,
