Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

Tulsa Skins Baseball
Here is a picture of Nick Taylor-Jensen, a sixth grader at Collinsville, with his first place trophy that he and his fellow teammates won in a tournament in Jenks. Nick plays with the Tulsa Skins which is made up of boys from Tulsa Union and Broken Arrow. These boys did amazing this weekend. They played two games Saturday winning them both and 3 games on Sunday winning all 3 of them. The 2nd game Sunday was to see who would play in the Championship game. Nick hit in the winning run which led to the boys playing in the Championship game. Nick pitched 5 3/4 innings of the Championship game, doing a great job, when they pulled him they put him at 3rd. He went 3 for 3 at bat hitting a triple all the way to the fence. He plays 1st, 3rd, pitcher and catcher for the Skins. We are very proud of all of the boys as they played amazing even in the cold. These boys are coached by Sam Griffith and he as well as us parents are VERY proud of these boys.

Thank you - Carolyn Jensen (3/7/2011)

PS - I am sending you an additional picture of the whole team with their trophies.

Tigers Split, Newland Gets First Collegiate Win
Mon, Mar 7, 2011 at 10:23 AM - [Baseball]
On Friday the Baseball team hosted the Hillsdale Baptist Saints for their home opener. The Saints struck first in the series, winning game one 3-1. The Tigers' Kyle Richter was on the hill and took the loss. Richter only gave up 4 hits, but his defense let him down again giving up 5 errors. The Tigers out hit the Saints, coming up with 6 hits of their own, but they couldn't overcome the mistakes defensively. Richter pitched a complete game, struck out 3, and walked 3 batters. Offensively six different Tigers got hits. Brett Frost was 1 for 2 with a double and the Tigers' only RBI of the game.
In the second game of the twinbill, both sides brought out hot bats. Hillsdale had 11 hits, and the Tigers had 10. Freshman Channing Newland was on the mound for the Tigers looking for his first collegiate win, and he came through. Newland pitched a complete game, giving up 11 hits, striking out 3 batters, and walking only 1. The Tigers won the game 10-9 in extra innings with Taylor Froelich getting a walk off walk to win the game. Offensively several Tigers got hot at the right time. Sophomore Troy Richter was 4 for 5 with a double and drove in 3 of the Tigers' 10 runs. Damon Smith, Jr was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI and also scored 2 runs.
The split pushed the Tigers' record to 3-5 on the year.
