Fun and Games at Collinsville Library
July 20-August 30

We are fast approaching the end of the Summer Reading Program for our Teens and Children. It is very important that you complete the program. To help remind you to come in before July 30th we are planning a special summer reading program wrap up.

Paws for Reading: Wednesday, July 20, 3:30-4:00 Ages 7-12

Jack, our Irish Wolfhound, will be here for children to read to him. We have a free book for each reader provided by the Tulsa Library Trust.

Teen Program: Thursday, July 21, 2:30-4:30 Grades 6 and up.

WHERE ARE YOU? Visit “Donkey Kong Country Returns” and “Super Mario Galaxy 2” with the Wii.

Children’s Programs:

Tuesday, July 26, 10:30-11:00 Newborns to 4 years old

Stories from the Rocking Chair with Miss Lauren

Tuesday, July 26, 2:00-3:00 All ages

Summer Travel Wrap-up Party. Wrap up your summer with stories and games. The snow cone man will be here with free snow cones for everyone.

Register for the prizes offered by Tulsa City-County Library for all who complete the program and FOR Special Prizes for Collinsville Library teens and children who complete the program. You can register for all prizes until Saturday, July 30. If you finished earlier and did not register for the special Collinsville Prizes be sure to stop by and put your name in the hat. We have small gifts for everyone at each program. We have gift cards to several places, a ride on Collinsville Fire Engine during the Homecoming Parade, and many more special prizes.

The photo above shows 1st-4th grade football players sprinting to the center of Sallee Field to be greeted by CHS Head Football Coach Kevin Jones (below). This was Monday evening July 18, 2011 for the first of two sessions for basic football skills for the youngsters. The next camp starts Thursday for 3rd-6th graders and will be in pads. The camps are instructed by the CHS football coaches and a few members of the 2011 High School Football Cardinals.
