Reeder Named State Baseball Coach Of the Year
On the night that he was inducted to the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Tony Reeder was also selected Oklahoma Baseball Coach of the Year. In Reeder's induction speech he thanked many people including his HS coach and long time Collinsvile Supt Pat Herald, along with the current administration who were present in the audience. Coach Reeder gave his former players and coaches most of the credit for his awards stating "I never won a game." He also got emotional when he acknowledged the 1st head coach he worked for, Joe Cook and thanked his wife and daughter. Reeder called his wife "his rock" and his daughter "his light". In the last year Coach Reeder has won a state Bsbl championship, named Region 7 Coach of the Year, inducted into the OK Bsbl Coaches Hall of Fame and named Ok Bsbl Coach of the Year. Not bad for a guy that "never won a game." -- Jim Riley 1/29/2011
