Snowplows were trying on the State Highways but the snow was still falling and blowing most of the day Tuesday Feb. 1, 2011. Schools are closed and many highways and turnpikes were closed in some locations statewide with the National Guard called out to help rescue those stranded. I have not heard an official measurement for Collinsville but suspect it is in the 1 foot range but difficult to determine due to the huge variations in drifts (~3 inch to 4 feet). I'll have to say I'm skeptical (from my limited view in Collinsville and what I saw on TV) that Owasso actually got 21 inches? My fingers were freezing with the wind chill subtracting from the actual temps of about 10 degrees when I took these photos today on my 4 block walk from house to business. It will likely be a week or so before I drive anywhere. -- Ted
