Kids Softball Saturday April 30th
While covering the Metro Lakes Track meet Saturday at CHS I was able to get a few softball photos also. Don't have teams names or any other info. -- Ted
St. Therese Women's Club Plant and Bake Sale May 7
On Saturday May 7 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the St. Therese Women's Club will have a plant and bake sale at 12th and Main in Collinsville. You'll find bedding plants and basket arrangements as well as a variety of cookies, cakes, pies, breads, brownies and desserts. -- Kim Thornhill (4/20/2011)
FFA Banquet April 28th
The CHS FFA folks held their banquet Thursday. I was not notified of the event nor have any names or information. I only have this photo because I was already at CHS for the Chorus concert (which I was notified of). -- Ted Wright --

Real Collinsville Cardinals
A pair of feathered residents in my yard were raising a new generation of Cardinals this past week. I never did get a photo of the youngster(s?) but did see one head poke up when the mother was off the nest. I hope they survived OK with all the near freezing wet weather recently. The nest is empty today (May 6th). The mother Cardinal's photo (above) was taken April 29th. -- Ted
