Goat
Kissing Teachers
|
During the week of April 18-22, Wilson PTO hosted a fundraiser to help purchase playground equipment for Wilson Elementary. We had a "coin war" in which students brought coins all week to each classroom. The two classrooms (one from 1st and one from 2nd) that raised the most money were treated to their teachers kissing a goat... yes, that's right.. a goat. Mrs. Carolyn Cornett (T-1 classroom) and Ms. Karen Mixer (2nd grade classroom) raised the most money for each grade in their classrooms. Robin and Chuck Knight brought their goat, Tinker, who was an excellent sport, to participate in the event today, April 28th. Because both teachers raised the most money, they treated our students during the morning rise and shine assembly to a splendid "goat-kissing" extravaganza. The students enjoyed the spectacle, as well as Ms. Mixer, Mrs. Cornett, and Tinker! We want to thank the Knights for bringing Tinker, Ms. Mixer and Mrs. Cornett for their good sportsmanship, and Tinker for giving time out of her busy schedule to be here today! -- Sumbitted By Lee Ann Due (4/28/2011) |
