Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Thursday Oct. 21, 2010 for the
new thrift store / food pantry (across the street from the Collinsville
Post Office) at 115 S. 11th. Chamber members joined Leigh Erickson and
Corinne Katon (at the scissors) for the photo above. The thrift store
is open Wed-Sat 10am-3pm. The food pantry will generally be in operation
the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 10am-2pm.

The Dividing Bread Ministry is dedicated to Christ-like love and support
of underprivileged women and children by supplying basic needs such
as food, clothing, shelter and education to promote stability of needy
families in our local communities.
This not for profit
ministry will be an important resource for residents with needs in Collinsville
Oklahoma and surrounding communities. With the continued decline of
our current economy, significant job losses and increasing State budget
cuts, basic needs of many local families are going un met.
The Dividing Bread
Ministry will meet these needs by operating a volunteer-run thrift store
providing quality clothing, household goods and Christian literature.
Profits from the thrift store will generate income in addition to donations
from individuals, churches, and businesses, to stock an in-store food
pantry providing necessary food to local residents who would otherwise
be hungry.
