Collinsville EMS treated more than 2 injured from a 2-vehicle accident that occured ~7pm Sunday May 2nd, 2010, at 156th St. North & 113th E. Ave (19th St) and continued into the house on the northwest corner of that intersection. One vehicle smashed into the house and the other just missed the house but damaged a gas meter in it's path. Collinsville Police controlled the accident scene pending arrival of the the Highway Patrol. Collinsville Rural Fire also responded to the scene which is just outside the city limits.
Collinsville Rural Fire Department Chief Jimmy Wilson was identified as the driver of the yellow truck by his daughter Stacey. Her email said that his truck was struck causing him to spin and roll twice. I don't have an ID for occupants of the other vehicle (which struck the house) nor severity of any injuries.

My brother (Jamie) and I just got home from the hospital. Basically my dad broke his neck. The surgery went well. Its a long recovery though. He was very close to not being able to walk and have a spinal injury but he will be able to walk hopefully by tomorrow. But he has to wear a neck brace for many months. We need all the prayers, help and support we can get. My dad was defintely in the grace of God today.
