The
Park Is Still Closed! .. But Looking More Tempting Each Day |
The water spouting features on the splash pad have appeared but are not complete ... along with most of the other park improvements due to be ready for the public at the July 4th dedication ceremony (before the fireworks). The park closing in the mean time is necessary to allow all the features to be completed on schedule. There are also liability and contract issues forcing the delay. -- Ted 5/27/2010 |
The skate park features are causing the most problems for city officials as a number of youth are already attempting to use the structure which has not yet been released to the city for public use by the contractors. |
Portions of the new basketball court (west of the skatepark) are nearing completeion with work continuing. |
