FBC Letter To Community Service Men & Women

On behalf of our congregation of First Baptist Church, Collinsville, OK, I would like to extend to you an invitation to attend our "Homeland Celebration" on Sunday, July 4, 2010. We would be honored to have your presence at one or all of the following day's events:
11:00AM - The congregation's presentation of "Homeland," a powerful patriotic musical accompanied by an incredible video presentation celebrating America and our wonderful heritage- a land uniquely blessed of God - residence for those who dared to dream the dream, pay the price, share the costs…of living in the HOMELAND!
12:00PM - Lunch on our property with hamburgers & hotdogs, bluegrass music, and recreation (horseshoes, sack races, Jupiter jumps for the kids & more)
1:30PM - Reception for Veterans from our City of Collinsville in our Fellowship Hall. We will have the five major divisions of our armed forces represented and would like register their presence so we can later introduce each person in the Veteran's Service that follows.
2:00PM - City wide Veteran's Recognition Service- This event will feature the filing in of each division as the FBC choir sings their theme song; introduction of each veteran present; and the presentation of a special medal designed and fabricated for each veteran as a gift from the congregation of First Baptist Church.

If opportunity would avail for your presence, we would also like to personally recognize you. As the program for the day develops, we potentially would also like to offer you an opportunity to speak at one of these venues.

Thank you for your service to our community (state, etc) and I will look forward to your reply. Feel free to call me at my office, 918-371-2526, to RSVP.

Sincerely, Dr Tim Prock
Pastor -- First Baptist Church
