Job Description:

This position is responsible for the organization, planning and implementation of all Public Works Department functions including but not limited to engineering, all utilities which includes coordination of maintenance and operation of electric system, water and wastewater systems, sanitation department, public park property, general maintenance of public streets and signage, buildings and grounds, drainage facilities, equipment and public works contracts. Excellent skills in customer service relations and problem solving are essential. Ability to read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, specifications and technical manuals. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to work beyond normal business hours and attend evening meetings. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates co-workers and the public. Interacts frequently with the public; also meets with other utilities, outside consultants, and contractors. Provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager.

Job Requirements

Education, Training, Experience:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management, engineering, or related field, and substantial high level professional experience in public works, utilities, engineering, or any combination of experience, education, or training that demonstrates the applicant has the leadership competencies necessary to fulfill the job requirements. Three years municipal experience managing an engineering/public works division. Valid Oklahoma driver’s license. Desire State of Oklahoma Class A Water and Wastewater Operator’s license.

The City of Collinsville, Oklahoma is accepting sealed statements of qualifications for: The Phase 2 Collinsville Main Street Project Construction Administration and Resident Inspection Services. Statements of Qualifications are to be enclosed in an envelope with a notation affixed on the outside bottom left corner of the envelope: Qualifications- Phase 2 Collinsville Main Street Project Contract Administration and Resident Inspection Services. The Phase 2 Collinsville Main Street Project is located on Main Street (US 20) and extends from 9th to 10th Street and from 12th to 13th Street. Phase 2 will basically add a block at each end of Phase 1 which spanned 10th to 12th Streets on Main. The Phase 2 Main Street Project will tie the newly revitalized City Hall, new Fire Station, and Library to the streetscape project on the west end and more commercial properties on the east end.
