The
Collinsville Patchworkers met January 12, 2010 at the Library, and welcomed Shauntel
Moss and her grandmother Zelmae Catlett. Sherry Neph won the fat quarters, and
chose the color red for the February 9 drawing. Members donated approx. 50 items
to Newborns In Need, and the blocks for the American Legion fund-raising quilt
are almost completed. The monthly Saturday Sew-In is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2010,
from 10:00-4:00 - members/and or guests will be making strip quilts for NIN, or
working on various other projects - bring your sewing machine, and a snack! Submitted by Linda Pfeffer (1/15/2010) |

Mr.
Wright, My daughter Mi'Shell Garrett, Miss Collinsville Outstanding Teen 2009, is organizing a master dance class to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. She has gotten a studio in Broken Arrow to donate their studio, Teachers have donated their time to teach, a Zumba instructor has donated her time to teach the Mom's at lunch time. She has a face book page with all the details on it. Dancehope DanceHaiti. Please review and see if it is something you could post. She doesn't want the event to stop with her. She wants someone else to take ownership of the facebook site with the next master class and the next. The dance community is large, she is hoping people will have master classes all over the country. Thanks |
