Varsity
Softball NO-HITTERS -- Good afternoon Ted. I saw Gavins
comments on the Website
Kathy and I wanted to let you know
that Senior Pitcher Shannon Aman recorded a NO HITTER in
our first game vs. Prauge. Then in her next start against OKC
McGuinness she pitched another NO HITTER in the 10-0 victory.
Very
impressive for someone who is a Senior and has not pitched very
many Varsity innings in her career. Didnt know if you had
been advised of this. -- Thanks, N. Jeffrey Trost (Sunday 8/22/2010

Center
Fielder Samantha Smith and Left Fielder Shannon Driggers caught a few Oologah
fly balls but spent too much of the evening chasing Oologah hits to the outfield
wall. The Oologah sluggers overcame a brief 3-1 Collinsville 1st inning lead
and roughed up the Lady Cards here Monday.
Shannon
Aman (above) had two no-hitters over the weekend at the Collinsville Festival
but didn't fare as well agains the Lady Mustangs Monday giving up 12 runs through
5 innings.
Shannon
Driggers pitched the final inning for Collinsville and was in a bases loaded
no out jam when Collinsville tried the rarely used "sprinkler turn on during
the game rain-out attempt" (below). It was actually just a timer issue
which was quickly resolved but Oologah added 3 more runs before the final out.
The
Collinsville Ladies executed this play just fine but I had an error with an
out-of -focus photo which looks better the smaller it is. -- Ted
Alissa
Wilson (#17) doubled off the wall to lead off the Lady Cards 4th but was left
stranded with Collinsville's only scoring coming in the 1st inning.
