Collinsville Continues a Tradition of Fun

Parties, Costume Contests, Food, a Spook House and Parade will among the many activities offered to Trick n’ Treaters visiting Collinsville’s downtown business district this weekend.

The “Just Treats, No Tricks” festivities will begin with a Parade down Main Street.
Children of all ages are to meet in City Plaza - 12th & Main at 5:00p.m. to line up.
The parade is expected to begin at 5:30p.m., after which, Collinsville businesses will be ready and waiting to pass out candy at their stores.

The Just Treats, No Tricks Costume contest will begin at 6:00 p.m. at City Plaza.
Age categories are: 0-1years; 2-3 years; 4-5 years; 6-8 years 9-12 years; 13-16 years and 17 years and older. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all categories will receive cash prizes. After the awards, everyone is invited to stay and enjoy free hot dogs and hot chocolate! All Weathers Electric is the major sponsor of this year’s Just Treats, No Tricks. Other contributing sponsors include: American Bank, Collinsville Downtown Inc, Darling International, Kid’s Academy, Silver Dollar Café, and Trinity Faith Church.

Croppinsville Scrapbook Store is hosting a “Croppinsville After Dark” party with crafts, games, and more on Friday, October 30th, from 6 - 10 p.m.

Kids Academy, located at 7th and Broadway is hosting a Fall Festival with an old fashion carnival, beginning at 7p.m on Saturday night.

Graffiti’s Salon & Purse Shop at 8th & Main Street is having a Spook House beginning at 7p.m. on the 31st.

Silver Dollar Café will host a Costume Contest with prizes for the 21 and older crowd, along with live entertainment beginning at 9p.m. Saturday night.
