A Season of Giving - Businesses and residents asked to help provide Christmas to families in need When doing your Christmas shopping this week why not pick up something for a family in need living in Collinsville? Collinsville Livestock Sales, the Feed Trough and Collinsville Downtown Inc. will be accepting donations of Christmas gifts and/or financial contributions to buy gifts for Families who are struggling to make this year a Merry Christmas due to financial hardships. Donated items can be brought to Collinsville Livestsock Sales, (13810 N. 113th E. Ave), any Saturday early in December starting at 5:00a.m. Beth Butcher, an owner of the Feed Trough restaurant located in the sales barn wanted to make a difference this Christmas. She invited the Collinsville Livestock Sales owners to participate in giving A Collinsville Christmas with all the trimmings to folks that might have lost a job or are just having a difficult time right now. Beth cooks from scratch every Saturday at the Feed Trough from biscuits and gravy to peach cobbler or orders to go. The Feed Trough will offer a 10% discount for residents dropping off gifts on Saturday. Financial contributions are accepted at Collinsville Downtown Inc, a not for profit organization benefiting the Main Street downtown business district. Office is located on at 1126 W. Main Street in Collinsville. Groceries and gifts will be purchased with donations received by December 18th. Families
receiving a Collinsville Christmas will be provided with a Decorated Christmas
