$3.3 Million Proposed Improvements Include:
Park Improvements, City Jail, Road Improvements, 19th Street Bridge & Sidewalk, Expanded Downtown Streetscape, and Possibly More.
Collinsville has had no local jail since the Dec. 1, 2001 City Hall Fire. This photo shows the jail remains in the then (2004) roofless City Hall.
The Collinsville Police Department moved what little was left after the Dec. 2001 City Hall Fire into a temporary (mobile home) location before the new office (formerly the post office) was ready at 11th & Center late in 2003. Collinsville prisioners have been transported to Owasso or Tulsa for the past 7+ years as the city has not had funds for a new jail.
Vision 2025 (county sales tax) and insurance dollars helped build a new fire station and restore City Hall for administrative offices
Before the 2001 fire City Hall housed the police and fire departments in addition to the city offices. The police moved into their new office in Nov. 2003.

The new proposed city jail would be on the west side of the police station and is estimated to cost in the range of $500,000 allocated from the proposed new sales tax to be voted on April 7th, 2009.
