Jessica
Dyer Completes Freshman Year At Cowley |
2008
CHS graduate, Jessica Dyer, completed her freshman year of college at Cowley County
Community College in Arkansas City, KS. Jessica runs Cross Country Track for Cowley.
Jessica's outdoor track relay teams had a successful 2009 season, qualifying for
nationals in both the mile and two mile relays. On May 22, she competed at the
2009 NJCAA Outdoor Nationals, held in Hutchinson, KS. Jessica ran first leg of
the 4x800 relay team with a split time of 2:26. Her team medaled, placing 6th
in nation. Jessica finished her freshmen academic year with a 3.4 GPA. -- Submitted 6/2/2009 |

Outlaws 10-Under AA Baseball Team has a Tournament Championship Under their belt!
The Outlaws pulled out an impressive win over the Locust Grove Yankess 15-2 in
4-innings! The game ended at 2AM in the morning Sunday! Conratulations Jeremy

for Families Planned for Hogs N Hot Rod Event |
Looking forward to spending time with family this summer and just having some good old fashioned fun? The 8th Annual Hogs N Hot Rod event, showcasing classic cars and bikes will offer many activities for kids of all ages! Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 13, 2009 and plan to spend the day in downtown Collinsville! The First Baptist Church of Collinsville, a 2009 Kids Zone sponsor will offer several super inflatable rides for older kids and bounce around rides for the younger ones, from at 11:00a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Kids can enjoy the rides all day long, free of charge, Tim Prock, Pastor of First Baptist told the event committee recently, We are happy to provide a fun place for the kids during this great event! Silver Dollar Café will sponsor a Guitar Hero competition. Performers rockability will be judged and added to top score. The player with the highest score will win an electric guitar and amp! Kids may pre- register by calling the Collinsville Downtown Inc office at (918) 6-371-5530. Also, competitors may register on site starting at 10:30 a.m. on June 13th at the new Collinsville Downtown Inc office, just east of the City Plaza. Other activities such as National Arm Wrestling competition for all ages, helicopter rides, pony rides, face painting, Pirates Museum, and visiting the library mobile, and the adopt a pet wagon will be available to youth.
