Ted Note: I have no control over Google ad content below:

I had a report Sunday evening (July 19th) that vandals had set a fire and caused other damage at the Collinsville Fair Grounds (near the Depot Museum). I couldn't see anything in the dark Sunday but these Monday morning photos still show the signs of disrespect for this city owned property. A stolen stop sign was still in the rafters near the concession stand/restrooms. A large scorched area indicated a pretty good blaze was set at some point but there were no signs of fire damage to the mostly metal structure. There were several printed target practice sheets scattered about full of holes. Anyone with additional information should contact the Collinsville Police Department. -- Ted Wright 7/20/2009
This damage to the nearby caboose likely happened much earlier this year after an fall 2008 effort to paint & restore the caboose was completed.
